Freddy Jehle is a 2014 SS/2B with a 5-10 142 lb. frame from Troy, MI who attends Brother Rice. Jehle has a smaller frame with a lean wiry build. Defensively he has good footwork and actions to the baseball. Jehle plays through the ball well and has flashy true shortstop actions. He moves athletically and has good hands. Jehle has good arm strength up to 88 MPH with carry on his throws. At the plate, he uses a small leg lift load to start his swing and has a simple approach. Jehle has quick hands with some bat speed. He has gap to gap pop and showed a good approach during his game at bats. Jehle has improved quite a bit since his first showcase in December and is heading in the right direction.
