Bobby Nicholson is a 2016 RHP/3B with a 6-3 200 lb. frame from Charlottesville, VA who attends St Anne's-Belfield HS. Strong well proportioned athletic build, pretty mature physically. Drop and drive delivery with energy at release, compact quick arm action, mid 3/4's arm slot, fast loose arm coming through. Upper 80's fastball, topped out at 90 mph, lots of running and tailing action, maintained velocity very well into pitch count and from the stretch. Slider was a quality second pitch, has power and depth with good command, rare change showed good fading action and proper arm speed. Polished pitcher with three solid pitches he can throw for strikes and attack hitters with. Right handed hitter, shows his strength in batting practice, big turn early and lift swing with power when he squares it up. Good student, verbal commitment to Virginia. Resembles current UVA standout Connor Jones in many ways.
