Austin Eschenburg is a 2014 OF/IF with a 6-0 187 lb. frame from Austin, TX who attends James Bowie HS. Nice athletic build, good overall strength. Right handed hitter, sound hitting mechanics, hits with good balance and control, barrel stays on plane a long time, has some present bat speed with more to come, solid line drive contact and will flash some lift, controlled aggression, nice hitting tools. Also has sound outfield fundamentals, good footwork, could lengthen stride a bit, accurate throws, clean at the ball, charges well. Has aptitude for the game and the tools to continue to improve.
