Cody Mashburn is a 2013 RHP/ with a 6-1 220 lb. frame from Bakersfield, CA who attends Bakersfield Christian. Mashburn has a large frame with a thick strong build. He uses a long arm action with some hook in back but is loose through his arm stroke. Mashburn gets closed at balance point and gets some down plane on his fastball. He throws a 12/6 curveball with developing tightness and depth. There's more velocity in there with a couple of lower half adjustments. He has solid actions at 1B and works through the ball well. At the plate, Mashburn starts with a high hand set and slightly open stance. He showed some strength in his swing and some power potential. Good student.
