Travis Brown is a 2005, 5'11" first baseman from Houston, TX, with good overall strength. He hits from a balanced stance with a short stride and some upper cut in his swing. Brown has obvious hand strength and probably hits the ball well and far with the aluminum bat. He tends to cut himself off out front with wood, which cuts down his power potential, but Brown made consistent good contact in batting practice and games with some very good bat speed. His speed is playable at first base to go along with above average actions defensively. Travis is a very good student.
