Tony Lopez is a 2006 outfielder from Key West High School in Florida, with a 5'10", 160 lb. frame. He has good speed and quickness that he showed running a 7.16-sixty as well as in the outfield. Defensively he gets good jumps in the outfield and anticipates the ball off the bat well. His first step quickness also help, and he has lively actions. At the plate he is a left handed hitter with very good bat speed. Lopez has a slight bat wrap, but that doesn't affect his bat speed and his ability to get the bat to the ball. He makes solid contact with strength in his swing, and shows surprising power potential. Lopez projects to be a top of the order hitter at the next level who can go get the ball defensively.
