Jorge Gil is a 2012 OF with a 6-5 220 lb. frame from Turmero, VZ who attends UE Raul Leoni HS. Big strong square shouldered build, some athletic stiffness. Right handed hitter, simple repeatable swing mechanics, line drive swing plane, mid field to pull side contact, ball comes off the barrel well, could extend better out front, very similar to Puerto Rican 1B Kristian Brito from same showcase with a grade less bat speed. 7.24 runner, shows raw arm strength in the outfield, can improve footwork for more, tends to fall off hard on release. Size and power potential stand out.
