Jakson Reetz is a 2014 C/RHP/OF with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Hickman, NE who attends Norris HS. Medium frame, lean athletic build. Line drive swing plane, still start, line drive swing plane, good extension through contact. Big raw power, line drive approach in games will lead to more doubles than home runs, but can hit for power with more loft. Consistent hard contact in games, showed a good approach against high level pitching. Plus arm behind the plate, plus carry on throws, quick feet. Lacks refinement in catch and throws skills, but has high end defensive tools and potential behind the plate. Moves well for his size, good outfield tools as well. Fastball up to 91 mph with hard spinning breaking ball, stayed low in the strike zone consistently. Good student. Verbal commitment to Nebraska.
