2005 Sunshine West Showcase
Sean Bradford is a 2006 2B/OF from Montgomery High School in Santa Rosa, CA, with a 5'7", 150 lb. frame. Bradford showed some of the best defensive actions at second base from the event. He stays low throughout with good footwork and soft hands. Bradford plays through the ball well, and showed well above average body control on slow rollers. His quick first step and good foot speed helped him show plus range during the workout and the showcase games. His arm is playable at second base and he has the defensive actions for the next level. Offensively he is a right handed hitter with little to no stride, and has a quick and short swing. Bradford is a line drive hitter that centers the ball well and will make things happen. He will need work on taking the pitch on the outer third to right field, but he has the hands and bat speed to make that adjustment. Bradford is an advanced defensive second baseman, and is a very good student as well.
