2005 World Showcase
Scott Hollingsworth is a 2005 catcher/infielder from Saint Joseph, Missouri, with a 5'11", 180 lb. frame. He showed very good arm strength during the workout and showcase games with accuracy and good footwork. Hollingsworth is a good receiver with soft hands and consistently low pop times. Offensively, he showed bat speed with strong hands from a high hand set. Hollingsworth has a strong and athletic body that should continue to develop. He is already a very good defensive catcher who has lots of potential with the bat. He might need a couple years to fully develop his hitting skills, but he has the needed tools. Scott is a good student.
