John Castro is a 2015 1B/RHP, OF with a 6-4 215 lb. frame from Marietta, GA who attends Blessed Trinity Cath. Extra-large frame is a strong, athletic build. Ran a 7.17 60 yard dash. Shows athleticism around the bag, long arm action in back with accuracy on throws, big target to throw to at first base. Right handed batter who starts with a crouched stance and an open base with a high hand set. Shifts weight well through lower half, short hand path to the ball, high leg kick trigger causes some timing issues but makes consistent, hard contact to pull side. Shows home run type power with leverage in swing. Named to National Underclass Session 3 Top Prospect Team.
