Jack McAvoy is a 2013 RHP/1B/3B with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Naples, FL who attends Barron Collier. Lean athletic build, good amount of room to fill out and add strength. 3/4 arm slot on the mound, long loose arm action, fills up the strike zone, goes right after hitter, balanced delivery, armside run on fastball, good shape on 11-5 curveball, keeps hitters off balance. Good strength in swing, good tools to work with, goes to all fields, easy lift in swing, should improve with better balance and shortening of swing. 3B tools in the field, good release, accurate arm. Strong student.
