Roland Chandler is a 2007 MIF/OF from Skyline HS, residing in Oakland, CA, with a 5'9" 150 lb. frame. Has a wiry, athletic body on a small frame. Offensively Chandler has a slashing swing and he took aggressive game swings. He has a quick bat and showed that he can get to velocity. His hands are loose, lively, and relaxed yet he has some twitchiness. Did a nice job getting the barrel to the ball and those hands work. Chandler has decent balance and looks like he is really going to hit, particularly for a MIF. Defensively he has jumpy actions, with decent feet and good hands. He has a decent release. Good range evidenced by a diving play to his backhand. Chandler is a solid fielder and strength will enhance all of his abilities. He is a solid all-around player and a follow prospect for small-medium D1 programs.
