Jamal Golden is a 2011 OF/SS with a 6-1 189 lb. frame from Wetumpka, AL who attends Wetumpka HS. Strong well proportioned build, plenty of room to get stronger. 6.91 runner, simple load and hitting approach, good balance, quick hands, swing stays short, good extension through contact, line drive plane, shows bat speed with more to come. Good outfield arm strength, accurate throws, quick easy release, good actions to the ball. Less polished in infield, throws carry well, could develop as a 3B. Projects in a big way.
