Joe Ross is a 2011 RHP/with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Oakland, CA who attends Bishop O'Dowd HS. Lean athletic build, loose and projectable, long legs. Easy delivery, smooth and well paced, everything works well, 3/4's release point, good downhill angle, power arm. Fastball steady 92-94 mph, mostly straight, likes to get fastball inside under hitter's hands, slider not consistent but sharp at times, potential plus second pitch, rare change up still developing. Brother of Oakland A's RHP Tyson Ross. Selected to the Aflac All-American team.
