John "Taylor" McConnell is a 2011 MIF with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Poquoson, VA who attends Poquoson HS. Medium athletic frame, prototypical MIF's build. 7.06 runner, high energy defensive player, quick feet, gets in front of the ball, throws have some carry, solid overall actions. Closed bent knee hitting approach, loose extended swing, has some bat speed, line drive swing, can get the ball to the alleys, squares up well. Solid all around player with skills. Good student, commitment to Marshall.
