Matt Frazee is a 2006 middle infielder from Bainbridge HS in Bainbridge Island, WA, with a 5'10", 165 lb. frame. Frazee has very good speed and ran a 7.06-sixty on a very slow track. He also showed good game quickness with a great first step on the bases and in the field. Defensively he has great range and goes back on pop up well, and has solid actions with good hands. At the plate he is a switch hitter with an upright and open stance and uses a toe tap trigger. Frazee has good bat speed with a compact swing and makes good contact. Sometimes he gets his weight out on his front foot early and loses his leverage to hit with authority. When he does stay back, he has the ability to drive balls to the gaps and use his speed. On the mound he has a balanced delivery with a clean arm action. Frazee finishes his pitches well out front, and his fastball topped out at 86 mph with some life. He also mixed in a sharp curveball with late downward bite at 70 mph. Frazee is also a good student.
