Arreola is a catcher with a good size frame, a good arm and potential for a lot more. In batting practice he showed a long and fast swing that didn't hold back much. He missed a few, but when he did get a hold of one you can see his power potential. We think he has even more power than he showed in BP since he didn't center the ball completely on many. As a catcher he showed 74 mph velocity on his pop throws and recorded a 2.20 pop time on several of his throws but he struggled with hitting the target. On the mound he showed an 80-83 mph fastball from a high 3/4 arm slot and a good looking 64-67 mph curve. He had batters out on their front foot with the curve and showed some good arm strength on the fastball. We're still not sure where he will end up but right now he plays both positions well.
