Jonathan Kirby is a 2006 3B/RHP from Noblesville, Indiana, with a medium, athletic build at 6'0", 160 pounds. He hits from a wide stance, and has an aggressive, attack approach to hitting. He showed excellent power during batting practice with a home run to left field. During the games he hit hard line drives to all fields, with great bat control and a level swing plain. He likes the ball down in the zone. He showed a lot of hustle and athleticism steeling bases, and had a 7.01 in the 60, and 4.59 home to first. He has quick feet with good arm actions, and above average range defensively. He also has a strong arm across the infield (75 mph) and made accurate throws. On the mound he throws a 73 mph fastball, and a 10-4 curveball at 64-65 mph with decent bite. John has good tools to work with, and he will only get better as he gets bigger and stronger. He is an excellent student.
