2004 National Open Top Prospect Showcase
Jon Aclin is a 5'8", 160 lb. second baseman from Round Rock, Texas. He showed us plus actions during the infield workouts, with smooth hands and good balance fielding the ball. His arm strength is a bit short for SS, however, he should be a smooth fielding 2B at the next level. At the plate, Aclin hit from a closed to open stance with a short rotational swing. His swing path and fundamentals were very good. As Aclin improves his hand and upper body strength, he should become a very good college hitter. Jon is a solid student.
