Livanos is a mature bodied 6-0 right handed pitcher from New York. He has a very deceptive delivery that hides the ball well from the hitters, with a short arm swing in back and a low ¾’s release point. Livanos gets good running action on an 81-82 mph fastball that gets on hitters pretty well. His out pitch was a 71 mph curveball that had sharp biting action and some 2-plane break despite his release point. Livanos’ mixture of deception, movement and breaking ball was very effective, we can see him throwing faster in warm weather shape. Livanos is an outstanding student who could do very well pitching at a top academic institution, especially out of the bullpen against right handed hitters. He will win at the college level.
