Jeff Weiland is a 2006 outfielder from Bonanza HS in Las Vegas, NV, with a 6'0", 165 lb. frame. Weiland is a good defensive outfielder with solid arm strength (79 mph) and good arm speed. He sometimes gets to the side of the ball, and it would help him to stay behind the ball on all of his throws. His throws were very accurate with on-line carry. Offensively he is a right handed hitter with good bat speed from a slightly open stance. Weiland takes a small stride with a line drive bat path. He gets good leverage in his swing with strength in his swing and some present raw power, and Weiland had some hard hit balls in the showcase games. He is a solid all-around player who should be followed.
