Cameron Coleman is a 2009 RHP/1B/OF with a 5'11'', 209 lb. frame from Upland, CA who attends Upland HS. He has a large frame and a husky build. Coleman did a nice job of executing pitches and competing within his abilities. His arm works from and over the top slot and he employs a simple, repeatable delivery. His 76-80 mph fastball had some down angle, good enough to start bats and elicit some ground balls. Coleman's 68-70 mph curveball has big shape and decent downward rolling action. Better yet, he showed some feel of the curveball. He threw strikes with both the fastball and curveball and competed to the zone. Coleman also showed some ability as a position player. The ball gets off his bat well and he has some aggressiveness at the plate. Around the bag at 1st base he displayed solid hands and some feel for the position.
