2006 Atlantic Coast Top Prospect Showcase
Drew Fann is a 2007 1B/C/OF from Oakland HS in Murfreesboro, TN with a 6'4", 175 lb. frame. Drew has a very projectable lean athletic build that has room to fill out. At the plate Drew hits from an open stance with good leverage in his swing. He shows good raw power and the ball jumps off his bat. Drew swing does get a little long though and he will need to shorten up in the future. Defensively Drew looked the best behind the plate. He showed off very good arm strength (78) and a solid release. Drew is a very strong student and a player with a lot of untapped ability right now. Once he fills out into this build he will be a player that will attract the attention of many mid-level Division I Colleges.
