2019 World Showcase
Gabriel Esquivel is a 2019 3B/1B/OF with a 6-3 220 lb. frame from Davie, FL who attends North Broward Prep. Extra big and strong build especially in the lower half, pretty mature physically. Did not run the sixty at this event but has run down to a 6.70 at past PG showcases. Right handed hitter, has a short and quick swing, hands stay inside, works gap to gap and can get the ball to carry, strength at contact, has the strength and bat speed to open up his swing for more power in the future. Arm strength is his best tool defensively, plays both third and first base, will have to continue to work on his lower half quickness and flexibility to remain at third base.
