Ethan Jackson is a 2008 RHP/3B/1B/MIF from Colts Neck HS, residing in Howell, New Jersey, with a 6'3"/220 pound frame. Ethan has a big and strong frame. He pitches from a low 3/4 arm slot with short arm action. Jackson has solid mechanics with some effort in his delivery. He has solid command and works in and out well. He has a solid fastball at 83 mph. Ethan also has a changeup with slight fade at 69 mph and a big 11-5 curveball at 62 mph. At the plate he hits from an open stance with quick hands. He has solid bat speed with strength in his swing and good power potential. His swing does get long at times. Jackson has a 3/4 release across the infield with an accurate arm at 75 mph. He has solid range defensively and needs to work on being softer with his hands. Ethan is a good student.
