Erik Bergstrom is a 2008 3B/SS with a 5'9'', 170 lb. frame from Enfield CT, who attends Enrico Fermi. Bergstrom has a strong compact body with some present strength. Defensively, Bergstrom has a good setup to ball on the infield and plays the ball deep when he fields it. He has a quick arm and his hands work well as he fields it. He is a solid infielder, but can improve on fielding the ball out in front of his body to improve his consistency. At the plate, Bergstrom starts with a slightly open stance with a medium width base. His hands start and he looks very comfortable in the batter's box. Bergstrom uses his hands well in his swing which helps his stroke to stay compact. He hits the ball well to all fields and maintains good balance throughout. Bergstrom has quick hands which helps him get the barrel through the zone with some bat speed. Bergstrom is an excellent student.
