2005 Atlantic Coast Underclass Showcase
Cody Pugh is a 6'2" 230 pound 2007 right handed pitcher and outfielder from Chesapeake, Virginia who attends Western Branch High School. Cody keeps hitters off balance by working both sides of the plate. We have seen him at other events and he is always effective at getting hitters out. His fastball topped out at 76 mph with good arm side run. He also threw a breaking ball at 68 mph and a knuckle ball at 67 mph. He changes speeds very well and has good control. In the field, he worked out in the outfield with decent arm strength. He thre 73 mph from the outfield with ok arm speed and a good release. At the plate, Pugh has good hand strength and some lift in his swing. He did flash some occasional power with his aggressive swing.
