Riley Danford is a 2008 OF/MIF with a 6'0'', 165 lb. frame from San Diego, CA, who attends Westview HS. Danford is a young player with a lean and athletic frame and projection. Defensively he moves well in the outfield and is aggressive moving to the ball. Danford has good arm speed and arm strength on his throws with online carry. He also showed good range during the showcase games. At the plate he is a left handed hitter with a good approach. He has quick hands and a short path to the ball with a line drive swing plane. Danford takes an aggressive swing, yet stays balanced with good leverage at the point of contact. He has a nice swing and makes consistent contact. He is an excellent student as well.
