Danny Danielson is a 2007 RHP with a 6'5'', 210 lb. frame from Phenix City AL, who attends Russell County HS. He has an excellent pitcher's build, with a solid lower half and very good overall strength. Danielson throws from a balanced delivery with good overall pitching mechanics. He gets through his wind up quickly and has a standard 3/4's release point and a good downhill angle to the plate. Danielson's arm is loose and works well. His fastball was mostly 88 mph and touched 90; we've seen him at 92 in the past. His fastball is pretty straight. Both his curveball and change up flash the potential to be quality pitches. Danielson's change up had good arm speed. His curveball had good 12/6 downer spin and bite. Danielson still lacks consistency with his stuff and command but he has the raw tools to be a very good pitcher at the next level. He is a good student who has committed to Alabama.
