Adam Pendleton is a 2009 catcher with a 6'0'', 195 lb. frame from Tampa, Florida, who attends Alonso High School. Pendleton has present strength in his body with a big frame. He appears to be taller than his listed 6'0". Pendleton showed solid arm strength on his throws to second base, and had solid accuracy. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from a slightly open stance. He has a line drive swing plane and he squares up on the ball well with consistency. There is strength in his swing, and he gets good leverage at the point of contact that helps produce gap to gap power. He also stays inside the ball well, and has the ability to hit to all fields. Pendleton also stays balanced throughout and should be able to hit for average and power. He is a young player with upside to his game. He is also a very good student.
