Curtis Wagner is a 2007 RHP/OF with a 6'0'', 185 lb. frame from Manhattan Beach, CA, who attends Loyola HS. Wagner has a large frame with present strength and projectability. On the mound he throws from a low 3/4 arm slot with a long, slinging arm action. He has good arm speed and throws with minimal effort. Wagner throws slightly across his body, but stays balanced, adding to the deception of his delivery. He gets very good arm side run and sink on his fastball that topped out at 83 mph. He keeps his fastball down in the zone and is very tough on right handed hitters. Mixes in a sweeping breaking ball at 72 mph, and has good arm speed on his change at 71 mph. Life on his pitches gets outs, and he mixes his pitches well. He allowed only 1 hit in his 3 IP while striking out 3. At the plate he is a left handed hitter with an open stance. He has a good approach with great hands and solid bat speed. He can turn on the inside FB, and hit one ball 95 mph off the bat. Good two-way prospect, and is a very good student as well.
