2006 Midwest Top Prospect Showcase
Bryan Condotta is a 2007 MIF with a 5'10'', 170 lb. frame from Mississauga ON, who attends Our Lady of Mt Carmel HS. He has a live body with quick actions and some present strength. Condotta has the quickness and raw arm strength to play either middle infield position, but seems more comfortable at second base where he can let his athleticism take over and his arm strength plays with less effort. It's worth noting just how much Condetta has improved his speed and arm strength in one year. In 2005, he was a 7.11 runner with 76 mph arm strength. A year later, on the same field at the same showcase, he's a 6.76 runner with 85 mph arm strength. Offensively, Condotta hits from a pre-load approach with a closed front side and a quick, line drive swing. He stays on the plane of the ball a long time and makes consistent hard, middle of the field contact. He doesn't project much power but his speed will enable him to leg out some doubles and consistently take the extra base. Condotta is a gamer who plays hard and played well in the showcase games. He is also an outstanding student.
