Junior Rodriguez is a 6'3" 222 pound 2006 third baseman and catcher from Miami, Florida who attends Coral Gables High School. He has a thick solid frame with a strong build. Junior has great bat speed and keeps his weight back well on off speed pitches. He also turns on ball very well on the inside half. He has a level swing plane and big time power potential to all fields. He hit a ball in the game that registered 99 mph off his bat. Rodriguez has a long easy arm in the field with good arm strength which he showed by throwing 80 mph during the workout. He has very good flexibility for his size with soft sure hands. He has smooth actions and looks like he will throw harder. Junior is a solid prospect with porjectable power and a good upside.
