Justin Wilson is a 2016 C/RHP with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Parker, CO who attends Legend HS. Large athletic frame with present strength in build. Primary catcher, receives from a low set up. Does a good job of staying low through his release, gains some ground on his throws with lower half. Shows some arm strength on throws which will continue to develop. Lower arm slot makes it tough to get on top of throws. Also pitched, works from a simple, balanced leg raise delivery with a three-quarter slot. Front side opens early at times, threw strikes with all three pitches. Fastball topped at 73 mph and threw an effective knuckleball at 66 mph. Right-handed batter, deep hand load to start. Swing shows length but is able to get barrel through the zone and create nice line drive contact to the middle of the field. Flashes strength in swing with more to come with the incorporation of his lower half. Very good student.
