Cole Welch is a 2017 C with a 5-11 173 lb. frame from Madison, MS who attends St Joseph Catholic. Medium frame, lean build, strong lower half. Hits from a slightly open stance, quiet hands, pull approach, rotational swing, cuts off extension and can generate more punch at contact with better weight shift through the baseball. Quick exchange from glove to throwing hand in catch and throw mechanics defensively, long arm action, throws from toes and lacks extension out front. Good student.
