Alexander Herbst is a 2016 RHP/IF with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Clarendon Hills, IL who attends Hinsdale Central. Tall, lean, strongly built young right-handed pitcher. Ran a 7.15 60 yard dash. Pitches from a high three-quarter arm slot and gets good sinking action on his fastball. Works at 75-78 mph with good location. Mixes in a slower curveball with 11-5 action at 68 mph. Bats right-handed, works from a squared setup and hits line drives to the middle of the field. Shows loose, fluid hands and looks to make solid contact. Shows good range on the infield and solid arm strength. Excellent student.
