Christopher Collins is a 2015 RHP with a 6-3 175 lb. frame from Sherman Oaks, CA who attends Notre Dame. Tremendous improvement, gained five miles per hour on peak fastball over the past five months. Tall wide set frame, squared shoulder build, has begun to fill out a bit but plenty more room left for additional strength gains. Pitches from a three quarter arm slot with a medium length arm action. Good balance to delivery, maintains good posture throughout delivery, good lower half use to generate momentum towards the plate with good pace. Maintained velocity well, late life on fastball varied between two and four seam action, commanded well. Sharp break on 11-5 curveball and buried it effectively, still developing feel for the destination but has good control of early portion of flight path to induce swings and misses by starting it at the bottom of the zone combined with late sharp break. Fading action low 80s changeup, more of a change of pace offering at present but has begun to show improvement as well. Follow closely going forward. Good student.
