Garrett Woods is a 2014 2B/ with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Mineola, TX who attends Mineola. Has a medium athletic build with room to add strength. Has a short arm action across the infield, soft hands, feet get him to the ball and has good lateral quickness. Has a high hand set at the plate with an upright closed stance. Leg lift trigger with a patient contact approach has a good eye fouls off tough pitches. Has quick hands at the plate with a line drive swing plane, and is a lead-off hitter. Once on base he is very disruptive and will take the extra base when he can. Is a good student.
