David Kanada is a 2016 LHP/OF with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from The Woodlands, TX who is Home Schooled. Medium athletic build, good balance in delivery, stays over rubber well, short stride out front, high 3/4's arm slot, not consistent getting over front side and getting down hill. Upper 70's fastball, topped out at 79 mph, some arm side running action when down in the zone but generally up due to release. Mid-60's curveball showed good spin and depth with 1/7 shape. 6.98 runner, good footwork in the outfeild with athletic actions, accurate throws. Left handed hitter, didn't take batting practice but showed a good game swing with hard opposite side contact and balance at the plate. Good student.
