Brayden Theriot is a 2015 MIF/RHP with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Sugar Land, TX who attends Depelchin-Elkins HS. Nice athletic build, some present strength with more to come. 7.13 runner, shows good arm strength with carry, lower release angle, will need to improve lateral range for the next level, third base potential. Right handed hitter, raises up during swing, tends to swing over the ball, has some strength and raw bat speed, to develop with a more level on plane approach. Also pitched, simple leg raise delivery, arm works well, 3/4's slot, some effort on release. Fastball topped out at 85 mph, cut a few fastballs at 82 mph that were nice pitches, otherwise mostly straight. Sweeping curveball shows good spin and occasional hard biting action. Graded out higher as a pitching prospect based on this outing. Good student.
