Tanner Strickbine is a 2014 LHP/1B with a 6-1 205 lb. frame from Stilwell, KS who attends Blue Valley. Strickbine has a large frame with a strong build. He pitches from a high 3/4 arm slot with a shorter arm action. His arm works and the ball comes out clean. Strickbine has a high leg lift and uses his lower half well in his delivery. He has good direction in his delivery and repeats it well. Strickbine has some run on his fastball and is able to located it in and out well. He throws a 1/7 curveball with good shape and spin to it. He also throws a change up at 70 MPH with some sink to it. At the plate, Strickbine starts with a slightly open stance and uses a foot load to start his swing. He looks to pull the ball and showed some bat speed. Very good student.
