Miguel Angel Riestra Rivera is a 2011 SS/RHP with a 6-2 184 lb. frame from Caguas, PR. Very strong, athletic build, physically mature, tall and lean, room to get stronger. Ran a 7.25 60 yard. Excellent infield arm, actions have room to improve, profiles well at third base, hands work pretty smooth, has carry on his throws, arm strength really stands out. Right-handed hitter, hits from a slightly open stance, has some length to his swing, loud pop in his bat, needs to keep his base under control, pulls off and looks to pull, flashes some pull side power. Also pitches, arm works well on the mound, throws right over the top, needs to get his legs more involved. Pitches at 81-86 mph with good life, velocity projects big. Flashes 11-5 curveball, shows occasional good depth and is well spotted. High upside two-way talent. Good student.
