2012 California Underclass Showcase
Tyler Steer is a 2014 OF/ with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Long Beach, CA who attends Millikan. Compact frame, slender build with room to fill. Line drive swing plane, short to the ball with a contact approach at the plate, utilizes the middle of the field and showed the ability to go the opposite way. Showed solid bat speed potential as he matures physically and increases his strength. Long arm action, playable outfield actions but would benefit from more efficient momentum to cover more ground with same number of strides, footwork can get short and choppy at times, fields the ball well. Excellent student.
