Gannon Palmiter is a 2016 RHP/1B/3B with a 6-0 210 lb. frame from Clarks Summit, PA who attends Holy Cross HS. Large frame with thick build and solid present strength. Primary right handed pitcher. Simple, low-effort delivery, hand drop and raise in windup, clean hand break. Ability to stay balanced and online throughout. Compact arm action, hides ball pretty well and has some deception. Fastball topped out at 79 mph with occasional arm side run, solid command. Flashed developing feel for high-60's curveball with 11/5 shape. Also mixed in rare changeup. Showed good pitchability and willingness to start hitters with offspeed. Short arm action on throws across infield, works behind the ball and gets in a good position to throw. Performed well at plate. Right-handed batter, uses a very spread stance in deep crouch. Has some bat speed and flashes ability to use strength well. Pull-oriented approach with occasional lift, solid hitting tools. Very good student.
