Austin Clifton is a 2015 2B/RHP, SS with a 5-8 165 lb. frame from Menifee, CA who attends Heritage. Small frame, quick twitch build, strong build, athletic. Middle infielder who is quick on feet, circles the ball well, quick actions. Good arm strength across, stays in control of body on throws, quick hands and smooth transfer. Shows arm strength from the outfield from a long arm action, effort on throws, online with good carry. Pitched, throws from three quarter slot, long arm action in back with some arm speed. Balanced, online delivery, fastball sat 78/79 mph and showed an 11/5 slider with tilt and buried changup low in the zone. Hit from right side, starts from a slightly open, balanced stance. Aggressive with swing, has good bat speed, whips barrel through the zone, gets leverage on swing. Loose swing and flashes pull side power. High energy player. Very good student.
