Mike Perez is a 2015 LHP/1B with a 6-3 210 lb. frame from Norcross, GA who attends Norcross HS. Big strong build, especially in the lower half. Graded out higher at this event as a hitter. Surprisingly short left handed swing, loose and smooth, hits under control but ball still comes off the barrel hard, showed big right centerfield power, would like to see what happens when he swings hard and tries to lift, has hitting tools to develop. Easy delivery on the mound, shows balance and athleticism, short arm action from a 3/4's slot. heavy fastball up to 81 mph. Nice changeup with arm speed and movement. Mixes his two pitches and stays down in the zone. Did not throw a breaking ball. Good student. Named to the Top Prospect Team from the showcase.
