William Brown is a 6-2, 175 lb junior right handed pitcher from Illinois with long limbs and loose actions. He showed good arm strength from the outfield during drills at 81 mph but wasn't able to translate that arm strength to the mound due to mechanical issues. Brown squats down in his delivery and ends up pushing the ball to the plate with some recoil at release. His fastball was 74-77 mph and he threw a loose 65 mph curveball. Brown did compete well and threw strikes. Given his arm looseness and the strength he showed from the outfield, there should be plenty more stuff in his arm for the mound with better leverage to the plate and better extension out front.
