Brennan Breaux is a 2015 OF/LHP with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Scott, LA who attends St Thomas More HS. Medium athletic build, some present strength with room for more. 6.72 runner,moves well in the outfield, sound fundamental footwork and throwing mechanics, strong on line throws, gets on top of the ball well, centerfield tools defensively. Left handed hitter, rotational upper half swing, keeps hands tight and compact, contact approach, has the ability to drive the ball but will need to make adjustments to consistently do so, has good hand speed and quickness to contact. Also pitches, simple leg raise delivery, high 3/4's arm slot, arm works well. Fastball topped out at 87 mph, mostly straight with good downhill angle. Very nice curveball with power spin and big 11/7 shape, very good curveball feel, major weapon against left handed hitters. Showed some quality to his change up as well. Strike thrower. Can see him being an effective reliever at the next level. Good student, verbal commitment to Louisiana State.
