Corey Phillips is a 2013 C/OF with a 5-9 140 lb. frame from Woodbridge, VA who attends Bishop Ireton HS. Medium frame with lots of room to fill out. Good actions behind the plate. Feet work with some quickness and transfer is smooth. Arm is online with good accuracy. Received and blocked well in games. Will benefit as body gains overall strength. Upright stance at the plate. Long swing with looseness. Good balance with level swing plane. Easy contact skills on line drive single to center field during game. Made consistent contact. Swing projects as do catching skills. Good student.
